STILL THOUGHTS
The Cartoon Version
The Buddha says:

There are reasons for the suffering
of all living beings.
There are also ways for all living beings
to attain enlightenment.
All things come and go
according to their karma.

The existence of a thing has value only so long as it is useful. If you don't appreciate it, but just ignore it, it would be like strangling it to death.

No matter how good an opportunity is, if you do not take it at the right time, according to its causes, it will just slip away.

Some people say, "Tzu Chi is already very rich, so why do you keep on raising money?"

Instead of saying that Tzu Chi is rich, it would be better to recognize that Tzu Chi has its commitments and credibility. People trust Tzu Chi to do good deeds for them and show their loving-kindness. Tzu Chi still has a lot of work to do and a long way to go. Therefore, Tzu Chi still depends on everybody's participation.
