Wherever there is a good heart, there is good fortune. Wherever there is commitment, there is power. We plant our own good fortune and read the harvest. We may suffer now, but it will end and joy will come. We may enjoy ourselves now, but if will end and misfortune will come. What is the meaning of becoming a nun or a monk? The most important meaning of religious life is to learn the Buddha’s spirit of compassion and to help others without asking for anything in return. It is not just a matter of living in a monastery. It would be better to stay at home and cultivate your spirituality through your daily dealings in the world. |
