STILL THOUGHTS
The Cartoon Version
Translated by E E Ho and W.L. Rathje
Drawings by Tsai Chih-chung; coloring by May E. Gu

The Buddha says:

We work in order to get the job done,
not to get something for ourselves.
If we only work to gain something,
then it will always be tedious.

In everything we do, we should think about the entire purpose of what we are doing, and not just the methods or tricks we use to do it.

We should have directions and goals for our work, and not just think about what we can get out of it.

Members of our overseas chapters who literally sweep streets in their neighborhoods are beginning to feel like their actions are making an impact.

So long as we sweep streets sincerely and humbly, someday we will be able to influence the minds of other people. Thus we can purify both the environment and people's minds.
