In the beginning, doctors had difficulty understanding Uditha Asanka Waduge when
he translated for local patients. However, things improved quickly as he studied
English. Uditha's enthusiasm for service is inspiring. He is eager to begin
every morning, waiting at the clinic when Tzu Chi volunteers arrive to open for
the day. Whether it is delivering case histories, translating for patients,
visiting the needy, or helping bring seriously injured patients for the nearby
hospital, Uditha's spirit of dedicated service has brought people close to him.
