STILL THOUGHTS
The Cartoon Version
Translated by E.E. Ho and W.L. Rathje

The Buddha says:

Greed, anger, and delusion are all empty,
truly empty.
If we can get rid of all our greed, anger,
and delusion,
then nothing will bother us.

Our faults generally come from greed, anger, delusion, pride, and suspicion.

These all come from egotism and selfishness. If we can get rid of these, our minds will naturally become broader. Then we will be more sincere, upright, trustworthy, and honest.

People often have a hard time getting along with each other. What is a good way to resolve conflicts?

Use wisdom in dealing with people. Use your common sense to judge between right and wrong. Even if you have a problem with someone, try to learn something from the experience. This is what spiritual cultivation is all about.
