STILL THOUGHTS
The Cartoon Version

The Buddha says:

I do not exist and nothing belongs to me.
Since there is no "me," how could anything be "mine?"
If you can understand this, you will be able to get rid of all your worries.

People are attached to their own egos, and so they divide everything up--"This is yours and that's mine." Then they get jealous of each other and they struggle and fight over what they want.

Most people say that they have to succeed. Actually, a truly successful person is one who can swallow his pride.

Having led several Tzu Chi seminars, I find that I really like the character of Tzu Chi people. When they quiet down, they are totally silent. When they move around, they are alive with vibrant energy.

Tzu Chi people learn through their activities in daily life. When people can work together and get along together, they naturally feel peaceful and self-possessed.
