Because of chronic poverty and unsanitary conditions caused by floods that
ravaged Indonesia early this year, many poor people in the country were urgently
in need of medical care. In a free clinic that took place from April 19 to 21,
medical personnel and Tzu Chi volunteers from six countries treated over ten
thousand destitute Indonesian people. When the Chinese and Indonesians
interacted with each other, they became one big family...
