Standing Bodhisattva with Halo

Eastern Wei Dynasty (534 - 550)

Behind the head of this bodhisattva lies a large round halo decorated with a lotus flower. Such decoration shows that this particular bodhisattva has a higher status than other bodhisattvas. The costumes and ornaments adorning this statue are arranged in a harmonious way, all the while remaining gorgeous and ornate.
