The
Buddha says:
The world is on fire!
What is burning?
It is the fire of desire, anger and delusion.
People should get out of this blazing house as fast as
they can.
The
Buddha described the world where we live as a
"burning house." If we do not quickly find a way
out, we will be trapped in that burning house.
If we enter the palace of Buddhism, we can spend all
our time exploring the origins of worldly suffering. Once
we clearly understand the causes of suffering, we will be
able to get out of this burning house.
Tzu Chi has established a new TV
channel. Does this mean you are now using a
"hard-sell" approach to recruit new members?
Does this new approach replace Tzu Chi's previous style of
"Don't talk, just do it"?
Tzu Chi members used to "just do it" without
wanting anyone to know about it. Now in order to raise
public awareness and to invite the public to join us in
caring for the needy, we want to give our personal
examples of doing charity work with devotion, sincerity
and joy.
