STILL THOUGHTS
The Cartoon Version
The Buddha says:

Life is full of suffering.

Selfishness and greed are the sources of suffering.
If we get rid of selfishness and greed, there will be no more suffering.

Then we can reach peace, freedom and serenity in nirvana.

Human greed is like a leaky bucket. Even if you fill it up with water, it will all run out. No matter how much water you put in, the bucket can never stay full.

Tzu Chi members have all kinds of religious beliefs. Does this cause any problems? Do they have different directions in life?

Their practices are different, but their ideals are the same. They all have the same attitude of goodness and love. Many Catholic priests and nuns are good friends of ours, and they also consider themselves to be members of Tzu Chi.
