Han Shih-chuan

Founder of First Specialized Hospital in Taiwan
In 1928, Dr. Han established Han's Internal Medicine Hospital, the irst
specialized hospital in Taiwan. Even today, the hospital in Tainan still keeps
hundreds and thousands of patients' records dating back to the opening of the
hospital. Dr. Han's care for society prompted him to write down and share his
experiences with others. His numerous works include records of doctor-patient
relationships, letters to doctors around Taiwan, and his personal reflections.
